It shouldn't be a huge deal because the email with the random password won't allow them to log in unless there email was already in the database. The script looks for the email address you put in and updates the password with it. If no email address is found it just sends an email nothing in the database happens. That leads me to think that the login is working but the problem is with $_SESSIONS. For some reason the sessions are not being set. The username and password are correct which is the only way last_login is updated. So the username and password are verified in the database and attempts to set $_SESSIONS and redirects to the control panel. The control panel checks to see if the username $_SESSION is set which for some reason is not set which causes it to redirect back to the login form. </p> <p>I am going to rewrite the login system and see if I can't fix it. I use this exact same login system on another project of mine, Field Status, its the exact same code (copy and paste from Gigs) and no clients who use it have this problem.
